Mega Evolution Delta Reign - Elite Trainer Box

Delta Reign combines two Japanese sources: Japan’s Storm Emeralda and the cards from the accompanying MEGA Starter Decks, merged into one 141-card English release. At its centre is Mega Rayquaza ex. It’s a Basic Mega that powers up straight from the bench, then hits for 50 damage per Fire and Lightning Energy across your board, and its Champion’s Roar Ability makes it a centrepiece of the new format. Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex and Mega Golisopod ex complete the Mega line-up, alongside Raikou ex, Heat Rotom ex, Talonflame ex and Wishiwashi ex.

The set also revives an idea veterans will recognise. Three Legendary Stadiums, Legendary Pyroduct, Legendary Summit and Legendary Trench, are split across two cards each, echoing the LEGEND cards of the HeartGold & SoulSilver era. You need both halves in hand to play them.

For collectors, the chase is deep: 14 Illustration Rares, 6 Special Illustration Rares including Mega Rayquaza ex and Zinnia’s Trust, and a gold Mega Rayquaza ex at the very top. The full-art Mega Rayquaza ex from the Japanese set didn’t make the English list, which leaves the hyper rare as the definitive Rayquaza pull.

The Kyogre promo makes this ETB more than a convenient pack bundle. Kyogre isn’t in Delta Reign itself, so this box is the only way to add it to an English collection, and Kyogre sits naturally beside Groudon and Mega Rayquaza in a Hoenn display.
