30th Celebration Booster Box - Japanese

Pokémon turns 30 and this booster box is one of many products built to mark the 30th Celebration.

The set revives the Classic Collection format, drawing reprints from across the game's history, Base Set, the e-Card era, Diamond & Pearl and Sun & Moon among them, and reissuing them under a dedicated anniversary foil treatment. Charizard, Crystal Lugia, Dark Tyranitar, Magikarp and Pikachu & Zekrom-GX all appear in that block, which runs through the tail of the set numbering.

Running alongside it is the set's clearest anniversary statement: a run of Pikachu cards inside the main numbering, each handled by a different illustrator, credited on the card. Tomokazu Komiya, Akira Komayama, Takeshi Nakamura, Tetsu Kayama, Nurikabe and OOYAMA are among the names involved.

Structurally the set runs to 103 cards in the main numbering, with the secret block extending past 160. Above the base cards sit Art Rare and Special Art Rare treatments, the headline addition is Futuristic Rare, a new rarity debuting here.
